GitGuardian pioneers secure code solutions down to its source with Chainguard Images
The digital frontier is constantly evolving, and with it, the challenges of securing software against vulnerabilities become increasingly complex. GitGuardian, a leader in securing code, embarked on a transformative journey with Chainguard, redefining how vulnerabilities are managed and neutralized from the ground up.
Discover how our approach made a difference in a real-world scenario for GitGuardian. Explore the case study.
A new vanguard in security
GitGuardian has emerged as a vanguard, vigilantly protecting against vulnerabilities by monitoring both public and private repositories. This dedication to security is not just a part of their operation; it’s woven into the very fabric of their identity.
The siege of vulnerabilities
The challenge was monumental. An ever-growing backlog of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) threatened to overwhelm GitGuardian’s dedicated team. The task of patching and updating software containers became a Herculean effort, compounded by the critical need to maintain customer trust and meet stringent compliance standards, especially for clients in highly regulated sectors.
Turning the tide with Chainguard Images
The integration of Chainguard Images was a game-changer. It was not merely a solution, but a revolution in GitGuardian’s approach to security. This strategic move led to a seismic shift in managing vulnerabilities, achieving a staggering 100% reduction in CVEs and significantly streamlining the vulnerability management process.
With some customers we have SLAs regarding addressing CVEs. SLAs are pretty short, like weeks, not months. So using Chainguard really helped us to keep those SLAs and be able to address any high or critical CVEs as soon as possible.
